Outlook 2003 fails to open

I keep getting a message that "Outlook failed to start correctly last time.. Starting Outlook in safe mode will ......."

When I choose yes to start in safe mode it goes into an instal routine, apparently successfully, but then it simply locks up part way through the normal opening routine. It never gets to safe mode or any other mode.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would try doing a Repair Installation - just pop in the CD, and it should be one of the choices.
