Hi,
Iam using outlook 2003 (part of office 2003 pro). The program has been working fine until 2 weeks ago when it developed the problem of 'freezing' every time I moved an email from 1 folder to another, also when the filter rules are operating when downloading from my pop ISP account. It freezes outlook for about 1-2 mins, then returns to normal. All other programms run normally during this time. The only thing I can think of that has changed, was dwonloading SP2, but unistalling, re-installing and leaving SP2 off , makes no difference, the problem persists! It has also stopped downloading automatically when I start the program. Any help would be much appreciated! |

Re: outlook 2003 - tempory freezes
Can you check if the size of the pst file is not bigger than 2GB. Go to Data file management > show size I think it was. Alternatevely, you can check the default location in Docs and settings ,ur username ,local settings , appl. settings, Microsoft, Office, Outlook. Hidden files must be shown.
If it is bigger than 2GB you need to create a NEW PST FILE and export inbox to pst and then import it to folder. |
