help needed viewing pics

from certain computers when i open a picture up it displays a small red x ..How do i correct this..

What program is opening the pictures?

its not actually a program, its when you visit different webpages where some pictures you can view and others you get a picture with a small red x.

If using IE check in Internet Options>Advanced tab and scroll down to multimedia and see if show pictures is checked.
