Office 11/updates/cab/512263

Something glitched and my computer keeps trying to access this file to install some feature of Office. I can neither uninstall nor reinstall Office because the computer cannot find this file.

office 11

having tried office 12 (trial version 2007) and uninstalled it I now have the same problems with 2003. several attempts to modify registry and reinstall 2003 have come to nothing . several attempts at finding cabs\512263 on my computer still no luck. it seems to have quite an effect on several differant progs as you probably know (internet explorer etc) I'm sorry I can't help but I thought a tiny bit more info might help somehow

You need to install windows install clean up (just google it), this will allow you to delete office from your computer. Then simply reinstall office. Hope this is of some use.
