Error Message in Access, "Query too complex"
I recently bought a new computer and one of my databases is not working properly on the new computer. When I try to edit a query in design view, or open the one form in the database I get the following error message, "query too complex" I'm then taken to an SQL view of the query. The queries run fine, but the form will not open. There are a lot of calculated fields in the query. The database is still on the old computer and runs fine there. I might also add that I am not experiencing this problem on any of the other databases I've transferred to the new machine. I'm a Mac user, and on the former machine, I used Virtual PC to run Windows and subsequently Access. On the new machine, I'm using Parallels as the emulator. The operating systems on the two machines are different, XP professional on the old machine, and XP Home version on the new one. I'm using the same version of Office (2003) on both machines. All the updates for both Windows and Office are current. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Office. I've tried different copies of the database. I'm baffled on this one. Please advise
