Outlook error when opening
Whenever I open Outlook 2003 I get the following error pop up twice, but as I click it, it just seems to get on with opening outlook, but is this a problem I can fix?
"Error in registry for extention "Exchange Extensions;u". The syntax or format of the registry entry is incorrect. Chech the registry settings and compare the registry for this extension to other extensions in the registry." What on earth is that all about?? Please help!! :D |

This is a registry error. If you're using Outlook 2003, Microsoft has a Hotfix Package dated March 2, 2004 that will fix the problem: Knowledge Base 835210 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835210
Or if you feel comfortable editing the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Extensions Right click Exchange Extensions and then click Delete Click Yes to confirm the deletion Exit Open Outlook 2003 and the error should be gone. |

If you are not comfortable then just to be on the safer side, get backup of your registry before editing. This will make you comfortable. ;)
in registry editor click on my computer then File>export>[use filename backup.reg] and then save it to disk. :) ATB
