Word to PDF

I have created a file in word that has images in it and when in word the files is 3mb but when I convert it to a pdf file the pdf file is 13mb.

Has anyone had this happen to them where a doc file converted to pdf has gotten bigger.
From what I have noticed in the past is the file size got smaller when converted.

Thanks

took the images out and it turn the 94kb word doc into a 112kb pdf file.
I then deleted the part I got off a web page, with the images in the doc again I tried a pdf but it came up with the same file size.

I guess I will just try an image at a time and see what happens

You can choose the jpeg option for the image compress, also you can decrease the Resolution option, if your PDF program supports these features.

Click on the File menu in Adobe. There is an option for Optimizing for the web or compressing the PDF file. I can't remember what it is called. I am not on my PC that has Acrobat 6 Pro on it.
