Tried to Uninstall Office
I'm desperate. I tried to uninstall Office from my computer and it couldn't because the installation source could not be found. Where can I find it? Where does it need to be located on my hard drive?

Hi ChelleWSU...
Unless i'm mistaken, the installer files are usually in a hidden system folder: C:\WINDOWS\Installer However, it may be easier to just insert your install disc and when it loads up, it should give you the option to modify/repair/remove or something similar and you may be able to uninstall it that way. Hope that helps :)

When the office disk is inserted it will look like it is going to install again but before you get to whether you want a typical or complete installation it should give you three options. Repair - Modify - Remove/uninstall
If this doesn't come up for you then complete the installation if you were installing it for the first time. Once installed then go back into the setup like you are going to reinstall it and hopefully this time it should give you those three options. You can now uninstall it completely. Doing this fixes any files that seem to be missing that office needs to see to know that it is installed on your PC Hope this helps Let me know if it doesn't because it has got me out of a lot of jams before |
