Hi Colzie

Must admit I've never seen that before.

What is your OS and what version of Excel are you trying to install? Is this a stand alone version of Excel or part of an Office CD?

My OS is XP pro and the excel is a stand alone download you can see the wee excel icon in my screenshot.

Any help with this would be appreciated Glaswegian

Hi

Sounds like a compatability issue. What's the location of this download? Did you check it was compatible with XP?

OK - so they are compatible

Did you actually get past the install stage? If so, I would uninstall and download a fresh file, then try installing again. Could just be a corrupt download.

Where did you download MS Excel?
Was it a free download or did you pay for it?

MS does not offer Office as a download. So, I'm gonna say this is pirated, and therefore we cannot help.

If you need a solid spreadsheet program that is compatible with Office, check out www.openoffice.org.
