I can't access secure websites

Whenever I try to access any site that has https I get 'Cannot find server or DNS error'. I've tried turning the firewall off, adding port 443 to it, turning pop up blockers off, running ad aware and spybot s&d, deleting cookies, TIF files, and clearing history with no luck. There have been 2 secure sites which I could access through https (bestbuy.com and amazon.com), but no others. Any suggestions?

My System

Welcome to TSF,

Have you tried to add these sites to the exemption lists in the Firewall and IE Security?

Do you have a pop-up blocker switched on? If so, try turning it off whilst you gain access to the sites.

I used to have trouble with my Internet Banking sites until I did both of these things.

Try them and see what happens.

Post back with your results.

Kind Regards,

Dave T.
