Open In a New Window - Help!
Hi,
Virgin poster to this forum would dearly like some hints about the problem I have with my IE 6. Running XP pro SP2 . But cannot retain existing window if I follow a link or right click & 'Open in a new window' Have google search bar which opens results in new window also. The new window opens in front of existing window which then promptly disappears as soon as new page as completed download. System running fine for months, then this problem occured 4 days ago. (last known installation before fault was Yahoo messenger-maybe coincidence) Have tried to track down similar problem in MS support and other forums but while 'cannot open in a new window' seems a relatively common fault, I suspect my problem is "cannot keep the old window open" and cannot find any solutions. (MS Support site offers several ambiguous solutions for IE6 which involve changing registry values, re install or simple Run options -tried latter not confident enough to try former 2) Any help gratefully recieved Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
