Hotmail Rich Text Format

I accidentally clicked to turn on rich text format in hotmail and now it wont turn off. Every time I click to turn it off it comes up with a yellow error box saying to click here to fix, when I click a window comes up saying that turning off rich text will change the format of the email. I click OK and it just refreshes the screen with the rich text still on. This is a real problem as I am trying to contact someone who is unable to open the .txt file that the email is sending as. Any help would be appreciated

Clear cookies and temp internet files.
Probably the cookie is not resetting to allow your change.
