about: blank stuck in browser even though changed
I had changed my browser settings to "about: blank". I have since changed them to an actual website but the "about: blank" seems to be stuck somewhere in there when the browser has a popup.

An example would be my banking pages. When I go to the bank website all is fine. When I do actual banking the site normally opens a secure popup/browser window. This is the windows that is stuck saying "about: blank" and it can't be used nor can it be refreshed because the page thinks that "about: blank" is what is set for the browser settings.

Please help!!!!!

This sounds like its due to a pop up blocker, try turning it off when banking etc or you could use the overide button when you click the link to open the new window, most pop up blockers use either Ctrl or Shift as an overide key.

hijack log for "about: blank" stuck in 2nd browser wind even though it's been changed
whenever I have a site that opens a second window, more than 90% of the time, I can not view anything in that window (the one that usually has no scroll bars, refresh or anything else).

I had set my browser to "about: blank". About a week later I changed it to an actual site but the second window is stuck with the about: blank browser setting.

I know it's not because of a pop up blocker because that has bee shut off and I have tried with and without it.

Bump
hijack log for "about: blank" stuck in 2nd browser wind even though it's been changed

Whenever I have a site that opens a second window, more than 90% of the time, I can not view anything in that window (the one that usually has no scroll bars, refresh or anything else). Ex: My banking, H&R Block, Pogo, etc. The window opens but there is nothing veiwable and at the top it states "About: blank Microsoft Internet Explorer" or it will act like its loading an applet or javascript, but just stay that way never actually doing anything.

I had set my browser to "about: blank". About a week later I changed it to an actual site but the second window is stuck with the about: blank browser setting.

I know it's not because of a pop up blocker because that has been shut off and I have tried with actually removing the popup blocker.
