Autocomplete Form Entries Get Purged?

Okay.... I'm baffled on this one. Am a professional tech, with a great deal of experience with systems, but have no clue what's controlling this....

WinXP Home... all service paks installed
Internet Explorer 6.... ditto.

Just rebuilt my father-in-law's system within the last 60 days from scratch, so it's nice and clean. Only additional apps are SpyBotSearch&Destroy and AVG AntiVirus-Personal, Google toolbar. He uses this system exclusivly for web browsing, and e-mail. Internet access is via DSL, no goofy MSN/AOL/etc.

With Form Autocomplete enabled in Explorer, the problem is that for a given web page, Explorer is purging autocomplete form entries that are over X days old. We have proven this by having him enter in the desired form field a date tag, for example; for today he'd enter '19Mon'. Deletion occurs on Mondays, for days N-12 thru N-5... so today, '07Wed' thru '14Wed' disappeared.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, Huge!

Does he have a tracks cleaner like cccleaner installed?
This sounds like a scheduled task in a cleanup utility.
