Please Help with outlook express

I have a windows xp sp2 computer all updates are current and there are no virus' or spyware located. when in outlook express i can recieve all messages with no problem. when i try to reply or create a new message the text editing section does not work. i have tried various methods to uninstall and reinstall both OE and internet explorer with no success. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou for your response! unfortunately it did not fix the problem. the fix was for version five. i ended up getting tired of messing with it & just went ahead and uninstalled sp2 and reinstalled it. Seeing how OE 6 is installed with sp2 i figured it was worth a shot. Low and Behold i now am able to create and reply to mail message. Guess i should've done this to begin with but i was looking for a less time consuming method. Thanks again
