can someone plz help!!
i have windows xp internet explorer - i want to download things so i click download, it says its gathering infomation from the website. the flying paper is flying. but the window that asks if you want to save it on the computer or open it. isn't coming up. so it isn't downloading. i hope what i write makes sense. HELP!!! PLZ!!!!! |

As a temporary measure you could R-Click and Save Target As instead of L-Clicking.
If you are not being prompted for a location to download a particular file type, this is usually due to the Always ask before opening this type of file check box being cleared. To reset it you could; Start windows explorer, Cick on Tools/Folder Options/File Types tab/go to the extension you want to change (zip, exe etc.) Click on Edit and make sure the Confirm Open After Download box is checked Restart Internet Explorer and should be ok. If you see the papers flying across the screen this normally means it is downloading so its just a matter of finding where it went. ![]() edit; and the above suggestion .
