No Internet Connection

I'm trying to hook my friend's computer up to the internet (at college) and we are unable to connect. It has worked in past years, and we have tried comparing my settings to hers, but can't find what the difference is.

I have gone through the control panels to the network connection. For both our computers, the LAN connection is good and running. However, I can't seem to find where to tell her browser to connect using that. She was set up for wireless last semester, and dial-up at home, but I'm not sure if that has any relevance.

Any suggestions??

Go to Start/all programs/accessories/communication and click on
network setup wizard.
Follow the instructions and it will ask you how you connect to the internet.
