Deleting URLs
How can I delete URLs without deleting all of them. Also, when I type in a web address, saved addresses that start with the same letter drop down, these might be web addresses from months ago. How can I delete them, on a one-by-one basis? Thanks

You can find them by going into regedit (Start>Run>type "regedit" w/o quotes) and navigate to this key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs There you go! BMR777 www.rusnakweb.com

It appears that you have the IE "In Line Auto Complete" option enabled.
It might be better to disable the Auto Complete option, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, look under Browsing (just below Underline Links) and uncheck the Auto Complete button. If your browsing history is not important, you can just go to Tools, General, click Clear History, you may also want to just reduce the number of days to keep items in History from the default of 20 to something like 7 or less?? I would leave the Registry Edit as a last resort because if you are not VERY careful you could cause other problems. JamesO |
