Hanging/Crashing on SOME Links

In the past week, I have noticed on a friend's computer that clicking on some links will cause IE to hang...sometimes the page eventually opens after a matter of minutes, other times, IE goes Not Responding...

No anti-virus appears to have been running for the past 130 days

However, I have since installed Norton 2005 for them and scaned the system turning up nothing...

I thought it might be a cache issue and deleted all the temp files I could find, ran disk cleanup and I'm still getting this...

Links on Yahoo!'s main page work no problem, news items and such, but links in Hotmail just hang...

Any thoughts??

What operating system is it?
I have also noticed Hotmail hanging it may be them. Did you try to repair IE?
You can repair IE using the Add/Remove Programs feature.
