internet explorer picky

my internet explorer is strange. whenever i use the search engine google, usually, it freezes up, then terminates unexpectedly. other times, it reveals the search results, probably after 30 seconds of waiting. other times, it is unselectable, and then again, sometimes it works absolutely fine.

the IE mysteriously though does this only to google, and only google. everything else works like a charm (every other single site). why does my IE only do stuff to google, and nothing else?

Sounds like it could be spyware/malware. Have you done a full virus scan with updated signatures? How about a spyware scan?
