Problems with connection on certain websites

I have had a problem with gmail in the past and currantly with twitter that when i try to log on i get a window saying that internet connection has been lost and it wont go. if i follow links into twitter i have no problem until i try to log in to my account and then this happens. i can have other things going and they continue to work so i know i have not lost connection. I have dsl through att and whenever this happens the att self support tool pops up and says it has detected a connection problem but when i click on it it doesn see it anymore. I should say this happens immediatly so it's not like a timing out issue. I know its not a pc issue because my laptop does the same thing. Is this Internet explorer problem, ATT problem, router problem?

Re: Problems with connection on certain websites

Ok. that has my up and going on twitter but now i tried logging on to my account at my electrical provider and had the same prob. deleting history and files didnt help this time. What to do now? are there different formats that some websites use for logging in or why do i just have this prob on a few and not all? the site i am having a problem with now is myaccount.4county.org

also, on another note. what keeps ie from loading sometimes. especailly if i have one window open, quite often i can not open another one. it just simply wont load. what would cause this. This is a problem i dont have on my laptop but only on desktop.

Re: Problems with connection on certain websites

Are you using IE7 or IE8? Go into Add/Remove and remove the one installed then reinstall using the standalone installer.

IE7

IE8
