Transfer saved passwords from one laptop to another?
I have a company computer, a laptop that I use at work and also use some at home. With my time spent on it at work, I am on this computer more then my personal computer at home. As a result, I have just about all my passwords to various websites (banking, email, forums, etc) saved in the browsers for quick navigation.
I will be changing jobs soon and will not be taking this computer, with all the saved passwords, with me. Is there a way I can transfer my passwords from my work computer to my personal computer? I know this isn't a question exclusive to IE but I can't find an answer anywhere. Thanks in advance! |

Re: Transfer saved passwords from one laptop to another?
See:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup and Backing up your information http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferri...file_-_Firefox -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the passwords you need two files: key3.db and signons.sqlite (previous versions of Firefox used a file signons#.txt). Key3.db stores the encryption key for the signons.sqlite file and without that matching key3.db file you can't access the encrypted password. You can look at the Password Exporter extension to backup and restore the names and passwords. |
