Can the Favorites Center icon be removed in IE7?
Is there a way to remove the little gold star icon for "Favorites Center" and its companion the little gold star with the green plus sign "Add To Favorites"? I am trying the clean up the appearance of IE7, and I don't use those icons.

Re: Can the Favorites Center icon be removed in IE7?
Hi -
May I ask why IE 8 is not installed? You can change the icon on Favorites - RIGHT-click on the Favorites folder in IE 7/8, select "customize" tab - choose new icon. I am not sure about the specific one you want. Regards. . . jcgriff2 . |

You can right click on a empty space on the toolbar and remove the check mark from favorites bar.

I want to remove the little gold star icon for "Favorites Center" and its companion the little gold star with the green plus sign "Add To Favorites." They are not on the list of comand bar icons that can be removed.

Re: Can the Favorites Center icon be removed in IE7?
The two stars show up on the same line (bar) as the page tabs. I've adjusted to using the tabs (rather that having multiple copies of IE open), but I'd sure like to lose those stars.

My instructions in permalink #2 will remove one star at least.

Do you want to remove just the star -- or the star + the word 'favorites'?

Re: Can the Favorites Center icon be removed in IE7?
When I select the "customize" tab, my choices are:
Show All Text Labels Show Selective Text Show Only Icons ----------------- Add or Remove Commands Neither of the stars show up in the list of commands that can be added or removed. |
