MySpace freezes when going into Inbox

Last month our kids computer had a virus and locked it up to a virtual standstill. We took it to the repair shop and got the hard drive wiped clean and windows xp reinstalled. When we got home and got it rehooked up and everything reinstalled, including Norton Antivirus, IE 7 and Microsoft Office, the kids complained they were having a problem with the IE locking the computer up when they went to read their inbox messages on MySpace. Everything else works fine - browsing photos, all other websites, playing games etc. I even tried installing Mozilla Firefox and using that as the web browser but it locks up in the exact same fashion. I've updated Java and Flash to the most updated versions and even disable NAV to see if that was the problem but it still locks up every time you go to the Inbox to read messages. It wasn't doing this before the system was reinstalled. Any suggestions on how to fix this? They can use my laptop downstairs and it works fine.
