hey guys
am trying to run an old hp computer (about 2002-03) BUT it has no internet browsers intalled... trying to d/l and install explorer but cant install due to system req. have xp home but have no idea how to even check what i have let alone how i'd go about upgrading. currently cant even d/l msn or run something as simple as shockwave games if someone could give me some idea other than buy a new computer it would be much appriated!! thanx heaps sarah. |

Just curious, but how are you able to DL IE? Do you have the windows disk that came with the box? If so, it will have a version of IE that is compatible with the machine.
As far as upgrading -- not worth it. I saw a laptop at the local "national electronics retailer" for $279 -- NOT a netbook, but a NOTEbook. With prices like that, you would spend as much on an upgrade as your would to buy a new box. If you can't make anything work on the old machine, you're stuck. |
