[SOLVED] DNS error - unable to connect to any site
Hi,
I'm unable to browse the web using Internet Explorer. On opening explorer I'm presented with a white screen, in the top left hand corner "DNS error" is displayed. My connection is still working as updates are still being downloaded. Would appreciate any help. |

Re: DNS error - unable to connect to any site
You can go to start > run > type 'cmd' > then type 'ipconfig'
and post the result here On the same window, you can also try 'Ping www.google.com = post result here and try 'Ping 74.125.53.99 = post result here as well

Re: DNS error - unable to connect to any site
ArmaTheGreek, thanks for taking the time to respond to my plea for help.
I have managed to find a solution to the problem I was having with explorer by comparing the settings with another computer. Under internet settings within the connections tab, LAN settings, an option to use a proxy server was selected. After deselecting this option I'm free to use the internet again :) |
