Hi

I have the above problem with just this website, normally I would just ignore it but when you are looking for holidays and cannot get to a website but everyone else can. It becomes personal. I have tried everythin from a full system restore, to consulting my IP, I even borrowed my dausgters base unit and uset that and guess what I got straight online ??

Re: unable to access a website - www.virginholidays.co.uk

Are you getting any error message whenever you access this website or while browsing this website?

Can you also tell what browser are you using and what version?

Re: unable to access a website - www.virginholidays.co.uk

Is it just a blank page when you go to virgin holidays? or it just keeps on loading? or any error message?

If everything's normal except for that website, maybe the website requires something or your browser is having a conflict with it.

Try this..
- make sure you have the updated java version
http://java.com/en/download/inc/windows_upgrade_ie.jsp

- updated flash version too
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

- optimized your browser
- internet explorer > tools > internet options > delete cookies, temp files, history, cache,
- internet options > connections > lan settings > make sure nothing is checked
- internet options > advanced > restored advanced settings
- last resort it's either you uninstall IE8 and go back to IE7 or download an alternate browser like firefox, safari or chrome.

Hope this helps.

Thumbs Up Re: unable to access a website - www.virginholidays.co.uk

Hi

Thanks for the info. I have fixed the problem. I unpluged my ethernet connection and used a USB connection instead. This gave me a new ISp address etc, and guess what it worked no problems
