My current IP address is 192.168.0.2 which it wasn't when I set up my modem some months ago (I think at the time it started 164.....).
This appears to stop me from logging onto the internet from from my laptop using WiFi and it also occasionally stops me from being able to log onto the net from my PC. I've tried to run a repair on the connection but I get the following error message: 'Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Clearing the DNS cache' Do you have any suggestions? ![]() Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide. |

Re: IP address issue
in your Advanced TCP/IP settings (WINS tab)
Check to see if "NetBIOS over TCP/IP" is enabled or disabled. Go into admin tools / services -make sure the DNS Client service is running also. |
