IE7 shrinks page with every click on links

Hi! I've bought a new laptop running Vista Home and IE7. It worked fine for a week and then today when working on my blog, I saw that a white banner appeared at the bottom of the screen that kept getting wider after each click. After 5 clicks on links it got so wide that I could only see the toolbars and had to scroll down to read the whole page. When I close the window and reopen it, I get the whole page but when I click on a link the white banner reappears. This happens when I work on my worpress.com blog, in GMail, Google and now I see it happening in YouTube. It doesn't happen when I visit other sites or when I use Google Chrome. My anti-virus and spyware programs don't come up with something. If it's a malware how can I get rid of it? Any ideas? Please?

Re: IE7 shrinks page with every click on links

Hi, I came back from a short holiday hoping that magically the abovementioned problem would vanish but it's still here. I downloaded IE8 thinking that maybe it was a IE7 problem but no... the white banner gets wider with every click. I'm gonna give up on IE altogether since I don't see anyone offering any ideas. There is no problem when browsing with Google Chrome or Firefox. Thanks, anyway...

Re: IE7 shrinks page with every click on links

Hey jau, It's been over a month, I've posted this problem to a number of sites including the support page of wordpress blogs but noone has replied... I've switched to Google Chrome and don't use IE any longer. Try Firefox. Most people use it but for some reason I don't like it. Good luck... Maria from Greece
