IE unhandled exception in third party module...
I recently installed IE8 and kept getting a pop up box with the following info:
Internet Explorer raised unhandled exception in third party module and should be closed. We are sorry for inconvenience. Extended Exception Information Module: cpturlpassthru.dll Version Info: UNICODE; v.1.514; Win:5.1.2600.2 (Service Pack 3); IE:8.0.6001.18702; UNICODE; v.1.514; Win:5.1.2600.2 (Service Pack 3); IE:8.0.6001.18702; Call Stack: BASE: 4F10000,001B:04F1100F cpturlpassthru.dll Below it has a box "restart IE" which is always checked, as well as options to "send report" or "close". No matter, which option you click on, it either brings you back to the previous page, freezes IE, or boots me off of IE altogether. I uninstalled IE8 and am back using IE7, but the same thing keeps happening. I've also scanned for viruses (twice) and nothing remarkable is showing up. I've quarantined whatever has shown up, though. It is constant and usually happens when I try to use the back arrow, move to a "next" page while shopping online and ALWAYS happens while trying to sign in to my Optimum webmail account. I can sign in, but it takes 2 or 3 tries... I hope someone can please help me. Thanks!!! |
