HELP - IE message continually pops-up

Using IE-7 w/Vista. I continually get the following IE Message popping up after each screen:

"Do you want to alloe software such as ActiveX controls and plug-ins to run? Y/N"

Any way to eliminate this constant message from popping up all the time? It is so annoying.

Tools-->Internet Options-->Programs

It should be in there somewhere... or maybe it's under 'security' honestly it's been a while since I last used IE... I kind of made my own and mainly use it :-)

Re: HELP - IE message continually pops-up

It's a really bad idea to download unsigned ActiveX controls as malicious versions can destroy your computer as IE has a direct path to many core system DLLs. That's why using browsers such as FireFox are more secure.

However, if you want to invite trouble:
  1. Go to: Tools > Internet Options > Security Settings
  2. Click Custom Level
  3. Scroll down and select Enable for Allow previewly unused ActiveX control to run without prompting.
  4. Select Disable for Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls
  5. Select Enable for Download signed ActiveX controls
  6. Select Enable for Download unsigned ActiveX controls
  7. Select Enable for Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting.
  8. Select Enable for Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins

Regards,

Pro
