OS: XP SP-3

IE & Websites Slow

Okay I have had my computer for about a year with no problems, I have Windows XP SP-3 Internet Explorer 8, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 (had 2008), PC Tools Spyware Doctor so I am well protected for virus', malware, etc (or so I would believe).

Just recently in the past week I first started noticing a website I frequent daily (www.come2play.com - chess channel), it would go so slow loading the rooms and selecting a person to play it would freeze for a few seconds, continue, freeze, continue and on and on.

Even registering on this website it would freeze for a few seconds, the scroll bar on the right would not move and mouse cursor froze for a few seconds then it would continue, freeze, continue. Writing this post seems fine as I write, there is no freezing.

I have not installed any new programs or made any changes as I really do not do much but respond to emails and play a few internet games.

I want to thank everyone in advance for the time you take out of your days to assist and help others with their problems. This is very frustrating as it just happened all-of-a-sudden and I sure wish I could wave a magic wand and make it disappear, but I guess that type of device wouldn't be good to have cause I use it on my ex-wife

Thank you,
Mike
