Adobe Flash and other programs not downloading
For some odd reason, IE on my desktop won't download things. I tried to download Flash, McAfee Site Advisor and Firefox and nothing happens. I had just downloaded Avast security on the computer so I thought maybe that was the issue so I uninstalled that and installed AVG instead (I was able to download AVG fine). Nothing. I went to Tools>Internet Options>Security settings and made sure the download options were enabled and that the ActiveX items were enabled and nothing. I've rebooted after these changes, nothing. I'm all out of ideas...I just don't get it!
Oh, its a Vista system. And I was able to upgrade to IE8, but only via a Windows update, not through the site (tried it, didn't work). |
