opening american yahoo home page while in canada
When I am in Canada, my Yahoo home page opens in Internet Explorer with the URL, http://ca.yahoo.com/?p=us, even though my Internet Options is set to http://www.yahoo.com/. So Internet Explorer automatically changes my home page.
This does not happen with Firefox and it is very bothersome to have a Canadian Yahoo page open instead of the American page when I am in Canada. I have spoken with my Canadian ISP and they cannot do anything about it since Firefox operates appropriately. Can someone help me with this? Thank you, jschmitt33 |

Re: opening american yahoo home page while in canada
You can change it in google but not it Yahoo.
Yahoo automatically detects the country you are in and it will automatically route you to their homepage, say you're in canada then it will be ca.yahoo.com and if you're in hongkong then it will be hk.yahoo.com... You can type www.yahoo.com in the address bar to go there manually. |
