I can't get most pages to load in IE

i have the IE8 and random sites just refuse to load in it and they load just fine in firefox repeatable most of the time but the sites that refuse to load seem to shift this is a most puzzling problem as some of my programs seem to try to load pages through IE and thus they don't load the pages (note i don't get a page fails to load screen the screen is just blank and the stats bar has various trying to load messages)

Re: I can't get most pages to load in IE

Have you tried optimizing your IE?

delete cookies, temp files, history and restore default settings especially security settings. If all websites are working fine with firefox then definitely your IE is the problem, you might wanna uninstall your IE and switch back to IE7 and see if all website will work there.

Re: I can't get most pages to load in IE

i've found an interesting little quirk to the problem ... it seems to be some tabs just wont work rather than pages though a bit of trial and error i've found that if a page wont load in a tab nothing will load in that tab but they will in tabs that are already working ... what's that about?

Re: I can't get most pages to load in IE

It could be a problem from IE, what you can do is to get fresh copy if IE8 and install it again, remove your current IE8 first. Then try checking for any service pack or latest patch available from microsoft.com too.

If still happens, good option is to switch back to IE7 where everything is working fine. IE8 is still new, need to stick with stable versions of IE.

Hope this helps.
