Pics don't display in IE8

After installing IE8 there are a number of emails with pics that do not display. I have looked at the options under multimedia and show pictures is checked. I have looked under security and nothing seems to be blocked. If I right click and select show picture, nothing happens. Suggestions?

I'm having similar problems on some websites I visit regularly. Stinks as I'm a photographer. Some sites aren't able to support IE 8 yet. I'm about to go back to IE 7

If you are having rendering issues on some websites when using IE8 try the Compatibility View feature. It is a broken page icon located next to the refresh button on the toolbar. Clicking the icon may help resolve your issues.

If any of you who have been running Beta, RC and now Final, use, or have used, either Spybot's Immunization or IE-Spyad or Spywareblaster, and have encountered a slowdown in opening IE8.

There seems to be some reported slowing of IE8 when using these or other means of adding large numbers of sites to restricted zones.

IE-SPYAD does not play well with IE8

No Reason to Rush your upgrade to IE8

I have tried the compatibility view feature to no avail. I receive emails from people who use Constant Contact. The pics to not display. That is one example.
