Problems after so-called security boosts
I previously had no problems with the website WWW.marketwatch.com. However, after I fixed my trojan horse problem with the help of a security analyst here, I have been having problems with that website when I am using IE7 (No problems when using Firefox though). If you refer to the first screenshot I took, I should be able to get an automatically generated list the moment I type in the ticker of a certain stock. Now, I am unable to do that. I am also having problems seeing the European and Asian indices graphs (if you see the 2nd screenshot you'd know where it is cos I marked it with a red arrow).
I installed IE-Spyad and the MVPS HOSTS file on top of updating my Java to Java update 13. On a separate note, after doing all these, I find that my browser (more so for firefox) takes forever to open, and it takes like a gazillion years for Java applications to run when it ran perfectly ok without the update....I'd gladly prefer thigns to run faster!!! Is there anyway to fix these problems I am encoutnering? Last edited by HydrogenRainbow; 04-13-2009 at 09:25 AM. |
