"Cannot Display Webpage" for login page
I was trying to download some financial info into Turbotax and couldn't connect to the site. So I tried to connect and login in Firefox - no problem. Then in IE.... I am able to connect to the brokerage site, but when I try the login link, I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error. I spent 2 hours on the phone with the brokerage tech support. Upgraded to IE 8 from IE7, cleared all cookies, history, etc, reset IE, cycled my modem and router, tried different security settings and tried in safe mode w/networking.... still no luck.
I am able to connect to other secure sites, it just seems to be the login pages that are a problem. Same problem happens on Amazon.com, but not on paypal. Any suggestions?? Thanks! |
