IE7 hangs for 10-20 seconds
When starting a new IE 7 session it seems like IE will often decide it needs to take a timeout where it completely hangs. It's non-responsive during that time and although I can use the mouse, nothing else on the computer will respond. I do know IE is causing the problem because task manager process list shows IE at almost 100% CPU usage and the highest memory usage.
After 10-20 seconds, IE decides to play and the computer works fine again. This problem happens intermittently on my laptop, my desktop and my work machines. The one thing they all have in common is IE7. Is anyone else seeing this problem and does anyone know if IE8 is also doing this? |
