Ie errors constantly

Hi guys please could you help me with IE7( was6)

Firstly al was fine in IE 6, then Activ x stopped working and crashed IE soon as the bar at the top should of popped up, now IE 6 i can connect to the internet ok, but if i then navigate away form my home page i get the blure "internet explorer has encounted and error and has to close" message all the time

I have checked my Active x setting and they are ok
I have now upgraded to IE 7, still the same
I have done a system restore , still the same

I am very careful about spyware etc and always run a scan.
I use NOD32 Virus software

Any Ideaas Please ?
