User Agreement window shows three quarters

People! As you were everyone!!!

Here's a weird problem I've run into trying to install "The Weather Channel." First, I'm using Vista Home Premium with IE 8.

When I download the program from this site ...
http://www.weather.com/services/desk...ml?refer=onair

I get as far as the User Agreement and it will ask me to click on the "I accept" on the bottom of the window that comes up with the User Agreement material in it.

The problem is, the window is there alright, but I cannot see the bottom part of that window which shows the "I accept" ... it only is big enough to show to the end of the agreement but not enough to show the "I accept."

I've increased screen size (full screen) to downsizing fonts or increasing fonts to emptying the cache.

Can someone give me a bit of instruction as to how to overcome this unique problem. I'll appreciate the help. Thanks!

Re: User Agreement window shows three quarters

Try using the tab key to shift focus between the buttons, then the spacebar or Enter key to select 'I Accept'.

When the screen below appears, hit tab 4 times to highlight the I Accept button.

Re: User Agreement window shows three quarters

Well Koala, you could have knocked me over with a tombstone!!! Your suggestion worked 110%!!! I would not have thought of that if my next caffine fix had depended on it. Much appreciated.

After I installed the program, it seems some words are overlapping others. Before I reformatted, I didn't see this problem before with this program. I'm going to attempt to send you a picture of it so you can see what I mean. Is there a way I can get that so that some of the words are not overlapping.

Thanks again for the help!!!

Re: User Agreement window shows three quarters

You're welcome

It looks like the only problem now is that the browser's font size is too big. You can reduce this for individual web pages by holding down the Ctrl key and using the mouse wheel.

If you were using Firefox instead of IE, you could set ALL web pages to use a smaller font by default. I think you can do something similar in IE by going to Tools > Internet Options > General tab > Fonts button, but this doesn't appear to give you many options. Hang on for some replies from our IE users who might have some more suggestions.

Re: User Agreement window shows three quarters

Actually Koala, the Weather Channel is running independant of the browser. I've got my fonts normal in IE.
As I say, this is weird and wonderful, because it is only this time around I see the fonts / letters /sentences overlapping each other.
Anyway, if you've something up your sleeve (or behind that scarf on your face) let'er rip.
I appreciate you coming in on this thread and giving me these pointers!

Re: User Agreement window shows three quarters

Well, I don't use Vista, IE or the Weather Channel, so I might not be the best person to help you, but I'll give it a go.

If the Weather program is running independant of IE, then it could be that your system fonts are too big. Go to Start > Control Panel > Personalisation > Adjust font size > Custom and reduce the size. If this doesn't fix the problem, set the size back to normal so you don't mess up the appearance of any other programs.

Re: User Agreement window shows three quarters

The font size for the rest of Vista / programs etc is actually the correct size. It's only this program for some mysterious reason that is out of kilter.

Someone here might come in on this and size it up. Thanks koala for your efforts. It's much appreciated!
