IE pop up blocker is locked

Hi guys
Im running IE 7 on win xp and i have been getting a whole lot of pop ups.
I know that by default the blocker is set to on. but when i went to go check, it was off. So i tried to switch it on but its locked, so i can't enable it.

on the bottom it says "some settings are controlled by your system administrator."
I am the administrator!
I've tried a spy sweep and that didnt work! someone please please help!

Hi soundmouse,

just a quick thought of something you could try...

in the internet explorer window go to the right of your screen and choose the TOOLS tab, the select INTERNET OPTIONS then PRIVACY.

You should see a bar that blocks popups.

Give that a go and lets us know how it goes.

hi i would like to tell you in first glance it seems to me your computer is infected by the viruses so i will suggest you you should run the anti virus scan on your computer then you will get the proper resolution .
