IE crashing?
I am trying to talk to HP for live chat. I get to the last step that should run teh active x and open a chat window. I get a visual c++ runtime error saying iexplore.exe made a request causing things to terminate. I went into IE security and added HP.com to the trusted sites. Any other ideas of what I can look at?

Re: IE crashing?
Try using Mozilla Firefox. You can download it here:http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
As I remember, I think that IE has problems with active x stuff. I haven't used IE in years though. Mozilla doesn't have a problem with active x I don't think. |

Re: IE crashing?
Do you have the latest version of IE? IE is a pain in the butt. I had a problem with active x in IE a while ago, I just can't remember how I got it to work. Let me do some more digging, maybe I can still find a solution, or someone else will answer for you.

Re: IE crashing?
Ok, not sure if this will work, but its my last ditch effort. Go to internet options, the security tab, then click on custom level. Scroll down until you find active x. Try enabling the different options. On my IE some of them weren't enabled by default.
