Vista basic runtime error

Following standard update installed during the week I keep losing my connection to the internet after about 5 minutes. I get message
'Runtime error!'
Program C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information.

Before I can get the internet again I have to uninstall my web & walk software & reinstall it. I can then get back on the internet but again after about 5 minutes it quits on me!!

Do you have latest version of C++ Runtime Package from MS installed?

If not I would advise updating. Worked for my C++ Runtime prob.
