JS PopUps Causing IE to Freeze

Hi,

I have a site which uses a popup window as part of it's functionality. This popup contains a flash object used for playing audio files. For every other browser there seems to be no issue, but in IE (tried both 6 and 7 on multiple machines), opening and closing the popup numerous times on the same page (via JS) causes IE to hang. At that point not only will the popup not fully load, but the parent window will not react when any links are clicked.

Does anyone know if this is this strictly an IE issue? An issue with IE combined with Flash? Is there some sort of memory cleanup that I need to do at the JS level for IE's behalf?

Just a quick follow up, I have noticed that this only crashes IE in relation to my site. Other sites will still load fine, but as soon as I tried to load a page with my site, IE loads the page indefinitely.
