I get kicked out of the internet

Hello everyone.
I have virus protection on my computer. But yesterday I was on the internet and all of the sudden I got kicked out. I went back on it and it did the same.
I was in the process of taking a test and I had to redo the whole test.
I ran a full virus scan and it is clean. I ran a system restore to the day before i had the problem and it told me unable to restore back to that day.
Please help. Should I take it in to Office depot for a look.
