All Created Shortcut Icons Are The Same
Original Plan: Change IE Icon Ver 6 SP3 and all Updates
(I like 6 and kept it) Action Taken: Opened Regedit HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InternetShortcut - Modified EditFlags Changed Value from 2 to 0 Changed IconHandler Name From: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InternetShortcut\shellex\IconHandler To: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InternetShortcut\shellex\IXconHandleXr Finally, I opened Explorer\Tools\Folder Options\File Types\Internet Shortcut and chicked on the "Advanced" button to get to the "Change Icon" button. Changed the Icon but did not make a note of the existing location. After changing, all my self created Internet shortcuts are the same as well as icons in "Favorites". Also cannot replace icons in self created shortcuts as they still point to the ICO files I created for them. Do not want to take additional actions until I recieve some guidence.
