Flash and Silverlight Problem

Neither Adobe Flash or Microsoft Silverlight run properly in IE7 although they both work in Firefox and Chrome. If I uninstall and reinstall flash it will work for a short time and then stop again.

I am running Vista Ultimate with plenty of memory on a fairly new machine. I have installed all available updates.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got the same issue. IE7, Flash, Vista seem to not work well together.

A little more about the situation:

* Disabling User Account Control allows the combination to work fine.

* Running IE7 as Administrator allows the combination to work fine.

* After installing Flash, the combination works fine -- until IE7 is restarted.

So it appears to have something to do with permissions.

I've tried the Adobe/Microsoft script that changes Vista registry permissions, but it did not work.

I'm going to go try IE8rc1 and see what happens.

Any other ideas?

Just installed IE8rc1, Flash works!

The only problem with IE8 is that McAfee is still not compatible with it...and I use McAfee.
