IE7 Keep getting page cannot be found
IE7
Windows XP Hi I moved our main computer and added a DLink wireless USB to it and disabled my Ethernet card The DLink wireless connects fine and communicates with the modem however when I open Internet Explorer it will not find my home page nor will it find any other sites just keep getting the Page cannot be found Error it just will not connect to the internet. I disabled my fire wall (Comodo) but first made sure it was pointing to the DLink which it was. I also checked that IE was an allowed programme which it was I disabled AVG as well. But I still get this problem it happens with Google Chrome and Mozilla as well, I checked the options in IE. I set my daughters comp up with an identical DLink wireless and IE, Mozila finds the internet and loads the home page. I now do not know what to look for next any assistance would be appreciated Richard |

Re: IE7 Keep getting page cannot be found
Hi Richard, welcome to TSF..
are you able to ping any websites? - Click Start -> Run -> type: cmd - Click OK - This will launch your Command Prompt. At the flashing cursor, type: ping www.google.com - Press Enter Let us know the results please. Also, are you able to download mail with your mail client and connect using programs like Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo?
