msn messenger wont open

I dont know what i did to my messenger but when i log on i get this message: sorry we are unable to sign into .NET messenger at this time. please try again later 80072f0d. i got this message lastnight so i deleted my messenger from my add/deletee file and downloaded it again, and it still says the same thing. please help

did you try to upgrade? the latest is 6.2 i believe. have you signed in under any other .net? you may also want to check to see if you need the .NET Framework ServicePack 1 from the Microsoft Security Updates page. look into it.
